Yichun University is a comprehensive university established in 1958. It is located in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, PRC. In January 2000, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the new Yichun University grew out of Yichun Teachers College, Yichun Medicine College, and Yichun Agriculture College. On this beautiful campus, you can also feel the great learning atmosphere from every corner.

Yichun University has 18 schools, 72 undergraduate programs, and 2 affiliated hospitals. In 2011, the Degree Committee of the State Council of China authorized YCU to confer a master’s degree majoring in pharmacy, which indicates that YCU’s educational quality has improved.

Worldwide Accreditations:

Yichun University School of Medicine is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), WDOMS, PM&DC, ECFMG, WFME, and WCAME. Graduate students from Yichun University can apply for USMLE, UKMLE/PLAB, GMC, and AMC.
Students from Pakistan are eligible to apply for the National Registration Examination (NRE) conducted by the PMDC. Yichun University graduates have the highest passing Ratio in the PMDC Exam in 2021.

Campuses:

Yichun has beautiful scenery and convenient transportation. Currently, there are three campuses, namely the headquarters campus, the north campus, and the Houde campus, covering an area of nearly 2,000 acres, with more than 20,000 full-time students.

Yichun Faculty:

The school currently has 1,506 faculty members, including more than 1,200 full-time teachers, of which more than 40% have senior professional and technical titles, more than 82% have PhDs and masters, and more than 80 talents above the provincial level.

Facilities:

Yichun University provides international students with excellent accommodation and facilities to ensure that they have the best studying conditions. The dormitory is situated within the campus and features completely furnished rooms that are shared by two individuals. The University has playgrounds, Study areas, a Library, a Gymnasium, a Bank, a Hospital, Shopping Marts, and Cafeterias for the students.

International Students:

Yichun University has been enrolling international students since 2006. The Clinical Medicine (MBBS) program is taught entirely in English and attracts students from all around the globe. A large number of Foreign students have passed Medical licensing examinations in their own countries.

Scholarships:

Yichun University is offering a Provincial government scholarship of 15,000 RMB to international Students studying Clinical Medicine (MBBS). Scholarships are awarded at the end of every year to Excellent student scholarship is based on academic excellence, class attendance, behavior, extracurricular activities, and excellent Chinese language proficiency.

Clinical Medicine (MBBS) and Fee Schedule:

The Clinical Medicine MBBS Program offered by the Yichun University School of Medicine consists of Six years, In First-year Chinese language (Mandarin), and after Passing the HSK-4 Exam, five years of Medicine and Surgery will be taught in English. The last year (6th) will be a Clinical internship which will be in the affiliated hospital of Yichun University.
The Cost of Medicine (MBBS) at Yichun University is 25,000 RMB/year ($3600) including Tuition and dormitory fees. The Hostel rooms are two sharing which are furnished and equipped with all the amenities. MBBS Fee for Pakistani Students is approximately 10 Lakh PKR for the whole academic year (two Semesters).

Admission Requirements:

Foreign Students who want to apply for the MBBS Program must follow the following Admission requirements to apply to Yichun University.

The age limit to apply is 18-25 years.
Students must have 60% marks in Senior high school diploma/WAEC/HSSC/A-Levels.
Grade in English Subject should be more than 50% to secure admission at Yichun University.
Study plan regarding Clinical Medicine program.
The student will provide a self-introduction video of 3-4 minutes, explaining their guardian and plan.

There is no admission test, additionally, IELTS and TOEFL are not required. Students can Apply Online to start their admission process to get admission in Yichun University.

Bank Statement Requirements:

Students must have sufficient amount in their guardian’s bank accounts to show the financial statement to the Chinese embassy to apply for a Student visa (X1). This Policy can vary in different countries, we suggest contacting the Chinese embassy and ask the financial statement requirements before applying for the visa. For the students from Pakistan, the Minimum amount to show in the Bank Statement is 45 Lakh PKR closing available balance.

Yichun Medical University MBBS Fee Structure for Pakistani and International Students 2025-2026:

Degree Awarding = Clinical Medicine
Degree Duration = 1+5 years (First year Chinese language + 05 years Clinical Medicine)
HSK Policy: The first year will be Chinese language study & student needs to pass HSK-4 (Chinese language test) to be promoted to Medical Study for 5 years.
