Ningxia Medical University NXMU 宁夏医科大学 Founded in 1958, it is located in Yinchuan city within the Ningxia Province. The Ningxia Medical University provides a Freshman Scholarship for international students seeking a bachelor’s degree program (Self finance), including MBBS, BDS, and Pharmacy. Ningxia Medical University admission requirements:

International students aspiring to enroll in the MBBS/BDS programs at Ningxia Medical University must adhere to the specified admission standards.

  • IELTS or TOEFL is not required to apply.
  • Students must be under the age of 25 years. NXMU admits students who are under the age of 18.
  • Students must have 70% marks in English and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) courses.
  • Students must be fluent in English and healthy.
  • NXMU will conduct the online interview before the issuance of acceptance letters.
  • Students are required to pay their tuition fees soon after the issuance of the acceptance letter (Pre-admission letter) within the deadline mentioned on the pre-admission letter.
  • Students must show sufficient funds ($5000-$7000) in their bank statements.
  • The student must provide the English-translated documents (if issued in a language other than English/Chinese).

Internship: The sixth year of the internship, during which students are required to pay half of the tuition fee, which is 14,900 RMB. In contrast, BDS students are required to pay the complete tuition fee for the final year of the internship. Students are not allowed to do internships outside of China.

Special Notes:

  1. Students will pay the Fee in Chinese Yuan (RMB). There will be no refund for the first paid fee.
  2. The fee package does not include food expenses or air ticket charges.

The General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University is located on Shengli Street, Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, Ningxia. It is a comprehensive tertiary-level hospital. This hospital boasts the largest scale, a robust technical force, state-of-the-art medical equipment, and a diverse group of experts and talents in the province.

The hospital covers an area of ​​more than 242,000 square meters, with a construction area of ​​more than 266,000 square meters. The general hospital (including the cancer hospital) opened 3233 beds throughout the year, with a total of 139,7042 patient visits.

Is Ningxia Medical University Recognized by PMDC ?

Shihezi University is MOE-listed Medical University to teach MBBS in English, hence HSK-4 is not required in the first year. Medical and Chinese language classes start at Shihezi University in the first year. Students must pass HSK-4 before the internship.
